Naomi Watts at the Oscar Ceremony
Naomi Watts didn’t get an Oscar for KING KONG, but she got another ‘accolade’ – although not a favorable one.
Her Givenchy gown didn’t gain recognition – Naomi was repeatedly listed highly in the ranks of ‘worst dressed’ women at the Oscar ceremony.
Maureen Ryan from the Chicago Tribune thinks that ‘Naomi Watts — or rather, her dress — was assaulted by a set of garden shears on her way into the auditorium’.
Gaile Robinson from Star Telegram called her dress a ‘disaster of epic proportions’.
Deidre Woollard from LUXOR called her dress ‘Naomi Watts’s shredded catastrophe from Givenchy’ and that ‘her dress looked as if she had a bad run in with a lawnmower’
Blogcritics wasn’t very kind as well – they ask if ‘did you really have to take it out on Nana’s old drapes?’
The Sydney Morning Herald also reports some less than friendly statements about Naomi’s dress.
Naomi Watts did look much better at the Vanity Fair after-party in a bright turquoise frock!
