Naomi Watts loves her two dogs so much she sought special permission for them to stay with her during the filming of King Kong in New Zealand.

“There is nothing better than coming home to a furry snuggle, except maybe for two furry snuggles,” she said.

Watts is one of 59 celebrities who agreed to be photographed with their pets for a new book, Petarazzi, which is helping raise funds for the RSPCA - the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The book is the invention of James Morgan, a prize-winning career photographer, formerly of The Times of London. It took Morgan three years to complete the project. $1 from each sale goes to the RSPCA.

“I wanted the book to be real. I did not want to get Naomi Watts with make-up artists and studio effects,” he said.
