Naomi still British and Aussies are upset
As already reported back in February, Naomi Watts considers herself British, not Australian.
Now, weeks later, this causes a stir in Australia.
The Daily Telegraph writes:

In what appears to be a severe case of baby brain, the pregnant Hollywood star has said she no longer calls Australia home – instead Naomi Watts announced that she thinks of herself as being British.
Watts, who spent the majority of her teenage years and adult life living in Sydney’s North Shore, made the stinging unpatriotic remarks in a recent interview with a UK newspaper.
“I consider myself British and have very happy memories of the UK,” Watts said.
“I spent the first 14 years of my life in England and never wanted to leave. When I was in Australia I went back to England a lot.”
Sounds like an attack of the whinging Poms to us. Hugh Jackman – aka The Boy From Oz -should call Watts’ man Liev Schreiber and stage an intervention.
A similar story is to be found on Perth Now/Sunday Times, and The Sun Online reports of reader’s comments like this:
“Naomi good riddance do us all a favour and take Kylie too”, said reader Ben of Sydney.
“With Watts’s departure the average IQ of the country just went up! Please don’t come back!”
Another reader wrote: “Let’s make sure we don’t bother letting her back in the country if that’s the way she’s going to be. Good riddance Naomi!”
Our comment: Even a big star like Naomi Watts should have the right to call home what she feels is home.
